In England, during the One hundred years war, Thibault de Malfète ( French duke) is about to marry Rosalind, the princess of England. His wine being poisoned, he kills Rosalind and is sentenced to death. To save him, his servant "André le Pâté" looks for a magician to make him going back some hours before this event. But the magician makes a mistake and both French are sent to the year 2000 in Chicago, where the room of the castle in which they were, was offered to the museum of the city.
The curator and the giver is Julia, the descendant of Thibault. She believes that he is her disappeared cousin, welcomes him in her house against the opinion of her grasping companion. After numerous adventures, Thibault will return in his time with the magician, André will choose to stay in XXI ° century with his new girlfriend. Julia will separate from her husband.
